Our Parent Resources section provides tips on packing communication, snacks, staying hydrated, and ensuring your child is ready for a day of fun and learning

Communication and Updates:
Throughout the summer programme splash squad parents will be added to a WhatsApp notice board to receive messages about any changes or updates on their child and how the lessons are going.

Packing Checklist:
Download our comprehensive packing checklist to ensure you have everything your child needs for our Summer School.
The checklist includes items such as snacks, water bottles, sunscreen, a hat, a swimsuit, goggles, a towel, a change of clothes, and any necessary medications.
Personalize the checklist based on your child's specific needs or preferences.
Ensure that all items are clearly labelled with your child's name to prevent loss.

Healthy Snack Ideas:
Choose from a variety of options, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains and protein sources.
Consider packing snacks that are easy to eat on the go and won't spoil in warm weather.
Be mindful of any dietary restrictions or allergies your child may have when selecting snack options.

Tips for Hydration:
Encourage your child to drink water regularly throughout the day, especially during outdoor activities.
Provide a reusable water bottle labelled with your child's name to ensure they have access to hydration at all times.
Consider providing a frozen bottle of water to help keep them cool and hydrated especially during the hottest weeks of summer.

Preparing for Outdoor Activities and Sports:
Dress your child in lightweight, breathable clothing that provides protection from the sun, such as a hat, sunglasses, and loose-fitting clothing.
Apply sunscreen with a high SPF rating in the morning before attending and it can be reapplied as needed.
Ensure that your child wears sturdy, closed-toe shoes suitable for running and playing on various surfaces.
